On Wednesday, in Karkala, Minister Satish Jarakiholi stated that he and Hariprasad will work together, despite Hariprasad being the president of the KPCC. Jarakiholi, who is the Minister of State for Backward Classes Welfare, made this statement while speaking to reporters. He had visited the Agumbe and Hulikal ghats in the Western Ghats region of coastal Karnataka and Malnad. When asked about the possibility of him becoming the president of the KPCC, Jarakiholi replied that it does not matter if Hariprasad is the president, as they will still work together.
Jarakiholi also mentioned that the cabinet expansion may take place soon, possibly within the next two to three days. He added that there are 20 vacant positions in the cabinet and the process should be expedited. When asked about the possibility of a ministerial position for Udupi, Jarakiholi stated that there are no MLAs from Udupi, making it difficult to allocate a ministerial position.
Regarding the construction of a tunnel in Agumbe, Jarakiholi said that experts will provide technical information, and a meeting will be held in Bengaluru to discuss the matter. He also mentioned that the cost of constructing a tunnel would be very high and may not be feasible. Jarakiholi criticized MLA Sunil Kumar for making political statements about the lack of funds for the Karkala constituency, despite receiving funds from the government.
