On June 21, students in Kota took the NEET-UG re-examination, which was administered after a dispute over an alleged paper leak. The top scorers, including Ayush Balotia, Kartik Chaudhary, Kritika Jain, and Gunjan, reported that the second exam was more favourable, resulting in significant improvements in their marks and All India Ranks (AIR). Ayush Balotia, who secured AIR 4 in the re-exam, saw his score increase from 695 to 710. He attributed his success to a rigorous study schedule, which included coaching classes from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by dinner and two to two-and-a-half hours of self-study. Kartik Chaudhary, who secured AIR 16, also benefited from the re-exam, scoring 705, up from 700 in the previous exam. Chaudhary studied from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. and attended coaching classes from 2 p.m. Kritika Jain, who secured AIR 18, initially scored 705 in the previous exam but saw her rank improve despite a slight decrease in her score to 701 in the re-examination. Gunjan, who secured AIR 52, scored 695 out of 720, an improvement from 690 in the first exam. The students felt that the re-exam worked in their favour, allowing them to demonstrate their knowledge and skills more effectively.
