On June 27, a married woman from Mangaluru filed a complaint at the Women’s Police Station, accusing two Sangh Parivar activists of defamation and issuing life threats. Kiran Kottari and Raj Marla, residents of Polali, are the accused in this case. According to the complaint, Kiran Kottari, who is acquainted with the woman’s husband, began pressuring her to reciprocate his feelings in March. He allegedly lured her with promises of gifts and care, but she refused. Despite her rejection, Kottari continued to stalk and mentally harass her. When the woman informed her husband about the harassment, Kottari spread false rumors about her character and defamed her children. Raj Marla was also involved in defaming the woman. The complaint states that Kottari shared the matter with the woman’s husband’s elder brother. On June 27, when the woman confronted Kottari near Kaikamba, he allegedly abused her with obscene words and issued death threats.
