On a recent day, a Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe grievance meeting was held at Tallur, where locals gathered to voice their concerns and issues to the authorities. The meeting, presided over by Thana Adhikari Nanjanayak, saw participation from various community members, including Vijendra, Chetan, and Dalit leader Chandrama. The locals demanded that the growing ganja problem in the village be curbed immediately, with many expressing support for this demand. Chandrama also requested that legal action be taken against those harassing Mahabala, who has built a house on a government-allocated site. Umesh SK urged the police to ensure that beat police personnel are available to the public at all times. College student Gautam Tallur pointed out the danger posed by a concrete road near Doddmane, where school children and the public often slip and fall. Thana Adhikari Nanjanayak explained the legal rights and protection measures available to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities, and urged the public to contact the police immediately in case of any problems. Udaykumar, state organizer of the Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti, appealed to the public to inform the police about any suspicious activities. The event was attended by many, including ASI Wilfred Dsouza, ASI Raju Bovi, and several police personnel and village residents.
