On the occasion of the launch of Udupi Vision 20-30-35, a mega project to develop Udupi, Prateek Bayal, Chief Executive Officer of Udupi Zilla Panchayat, emphasized that the district requires peace and social harmony to attract investment. He was speaking at a consultation meeting with various sections of society at the Sheshashayana Sabha Bhavana of Hotel Kidiyoor in Udupi. Bayal stressed that for sustainable development, Udupi needs to be made investor-friendly, which requires a fundamental understanding of the district. He pointed out that peace and social harmony are essential for attracting investment and creating new opportunities. Bayal also highlighted the importance of empowering women and youth, conserving biodiversity, and protecting the environment. He suggested that self-help groups be activated to promote women’s empowerment and that waste be converted into wealth. The event was attended by prominent personalities, including MPs, MLAs, and leaders of various organizations. Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP, inaugurated the Udupi Vision 20-30-35 project, which aims to develop Udupi into a model district by 2035. The meeting saw discussions on various aspects of development, including economic progress, social justice, and environmental protection.
