On the occasion of the national doctors' day celebration, Dr. M. Mohan Alva, president of Alva's Education Foundation, emphasized the importance of morality, service spirit, and patient safety in the medical profession. He was speaking at a function organized by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) at the Alva's Medical Science and Research Center in Moodabidri. Dr. Alva highlighted that the relationship between doctors and patients should be based on mutual trust and responsibility.

Dr. T.A. Veerabhadraiah, president of the IMA Karnataka state branch, stressed that the organization is committed to addressing the problems faced by doctors and providing necessary support to its members. Dr. Yoganananda Reddy, president of the Karnataka Medical Council, emphasized that doctors have a huge responsibility towards their patients and should work with a service-oriented approach.

Dr. H.R. Thimmayya, district health and family welfare officer of Dakshina Kannada, highlighted the importance of public-private partnership in the healthcare sector. Dr. D.S. Shivaprasad, district surgeon and administrator of Wenlock Hospital, emphasized the need for doctors to work together to address the challenges they face.

The function also saw the launch of the 183rd branch of the IMA in Moodabidri, with 26 doctors becoming members. The branch aims to work towards the betterment of the healthcare sector in the region.
