Yoga Vaibhav at Janata School: Students Showcase Asanas on International Yoga Day

Students at Janata New English Medium School in Kirimanjeshwar, Kundapur, marked International Yoga Day with a vibrant program on Wednesday. The event, titled "Yoga Vaibhav," saw participants demonstrate various asanas to highlight the discipline’s global significance.

Ganesh Mogaveera, president of the Janata Group Organizations, addressed the gathering as the chief guest. In his presidential remarks, he noted that yoga originated in ancient India and remains essential for physical and mental well-being. He urged students to adopt regular yoga practice. Shyamala Ganesh, secretary of the Janata Group Organizations, delivered the introductory speech. "There is no disease without yoga," he said, stressing its role in preventive health.

Head teacher Deepika Acharya spoke about yoga’s contribution to India’s international recognition. "Today, most people worldwide have incorporated yoga into their lives for good health," she said. She reaffirmed the school’s commitment to student fitness through trained yoga instructors. School coordinator Subramanya Marathi, along with teaching and non-teaching staff, attended the function.

Physical education teacher Mallika Manjunath Devadiga extended the welcome address, while yoga teacher Anvita anchored the proceedings. The student demonstrations drew appreciation from the audience for their precision and energy.
