Brahmavar : 150-year-old tree falls on a temple inflicting a Rs 6 lakh loss
Brahmavar: On account of extreme rain within the district for the previous two days, bushes uprooted and fell on a temple and a home close to Chittari Nandikeshwari temple in Matpadi on Wednesday, July 14.
A 150-year-old ‘Golimara’ (Ficus drupacea Thumb) collapsed on a temple, whereas one other jackfruit tree fell on Mahabala Nayari’s home close by, inflicting harm to the roof and toilet inflicting a Rs 6 lakh loss. Gram panchayat officers, gram panchayat president, and panchayat members visited the spots.
