MANGALURU: Mangaluru Police and Dakshina Kannada District Police have made surveillance stricter at interstate borders as per the instructions of Karnataka home minister Basavaraj Bommai, who held a video conversation with officers on Tuesday.
Each police personal exercise extra measures to verify interstate movement in Kerala – Karnataka borders district. Mangaluru police have launched strict surveillance on the border at Talapady, Mangaluru Central Railway Station and Mangaluru Junction Railway Station. In the meantime, Dakshina Kannada Police have deployed personnel at ten interstate checkposts to monitor movement
Dakshina Kannada will allow entry to those arriving via the following routes if they have valid vaccinations or a negative RT-PCR.Talapady, Saradka, Salethoor, Kanyana, Menala, Swarga, Sulliapadavu, Murooru, Mandekolu, Badddadka and Kannadithodu . Preparations even have been made to conduct RAT/ RT-PCR assessments on the verify posts.
