On Sunday, June 28, the Ramakrishna Mission in Mangaluru hosted the ‘Margadharshi – Cracking the UPSC Examination’ seminar, which saw a large turnout of Civil Services aspirants, students, parents, and educators. The event was organised by RACHANA Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with Mangalore IAS and Ramakrishna Mission. Swami Jitakamanandaji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, was the chief guest, and he encouraged students from Coastal Karnataka to attempt competitive examinations, stressing that success is possible with determination and proper guidance.
The seminar featured expert sessions by renowned trainers, including Shri Mohan Krishnamurthy, Shri Chandramohan Inaganti, Dr. Sumana B., Mr. Dawn Prakash, and Mr. Santhosh Rao. They shared valuable insights into the UPSC examination pattern, preparation strategies, and career opportunities in the Civil Services. Mr. Santhosh Rao also briefed participants about the Mangalore IAS coaching programmes and the Karnataka Police Constable Recruitment 2025 coaching course.
Swami Jitakamanandaji quoted Swami Vivekananda, saying ‘Having a goal is not enough; strengthen the ways to reach it.’ He also informed the gathering about the Ramakrishna Mission’s reading room dedicated to students preparing for competitive examinations. The event was attended by prominent figures, including Ms. Vaijayanti Hegde, Dr. C. Kamalakannan, and Fr. Roshan Rosario.
