31 Bills likely to be brought during the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the ordinance related to Delhi may be discussed first.
New Delhi: The monsoon session of the Parliament is scheduled to begin from July 20. 31 Bills are likely to be taken up during this session. At the top of this list is the ordinance related to Delhi (transfer-posting rights of officers). The Central Government will try to make it a law by getting it passed by both the Houses at the earliest.
Before this, the government held an all-party meeting. In this meeting, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi told that all parties were demanding discussion on Manipur, the government is ready to discuss Manipur. Taking a jibe at the opposition alliance ‘INDIA’, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said, “Nothing changes by changing the name. People are still the same. Old wine in new bottle.”

Demand to discuss these issues
After attending the meeting, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said that the demand for fixing accountability and resignation of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Home Minister Amit Shah for the Balasore train accident and Manipur violence will be raised within Parliament. He said, “In this session also, we will continue to demand setting up of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Adani issue and demand a discussion on the China issue.” He said, “The Congress will oppose the ordinance related to Delhi. This is going to curtail the constitutional rights and responsibilities of the elected government.”
After attending the all-party meeting, Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that in the meeting we demanded a discussion on the situation in Manipur during the monsoon session of Parliament. We demand that the Prime Minister should come to the House and discuss the situation in Manipur.
