After he was admitted to the hospital last week, Al-Arabiya / Al-Hadath sources reported at dawn on Monday that Gaddafi’s son was transferred again for treatment, due to a sharp drop in blood sugar.

She confirmed that he was in a critical health condition.

This came while running Gaddafi’s son He has been on hunger strike for about 5 weeks, in protest of his arrest 8 years ago, on charges of concealing information related to the disappearance of Shiite cleric Musa al-Sadr in Libya in 1978.

While the young man clung to his innocence in the case of al-Sadr’s disappearance, he repeatedly said during the investigations that he did not have any information because the incident occurred when he was a child, and that his disappearance is known only to his older brother Saif al-Islam Gaddafi and former Prime Minister Abdel Salam Jalloud, along with his father’s relative, Ahmed Qaddaf al-Dam, the resident. Libyan parties intervene

While the file of Gaddafi’s son, which enjoys the attention of Libyan public opinion, is still without a judicial settlement, several Libyan parties have tried to intervene in order to obtain his release, despite the negotiations that took place between his defense team and the committee in charge of the al-Sadr case.

The head of the Libyan National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba, moved last month, and confirmed that he had contacted Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati to discuss his file, adding that Hannibal was not being held by the Lebanese government.

And he considered that Gaddafi’s son was being treated in an inappropriate manner, saying that he was “disregarded,” stressing that his government was monitoring the situation of any Libyan prisoner outside the country.

He also referred to the formation of a Libyan committee to follow up on this file, pointing out that it will travel to Lebanon to follow up on his case. “Hannibal is not an ordinary person, he is the son of Muammar Gaddafi, and whoever has any opinion or accusation should take him to the Libyan judiciary,” he said.

In the same period, the Libyan Presidential Council announced the formation of a committee headed by Minister of Justice Halima al-Busaifi, to follow up on this file.

He ordered the formation of a defense committee to undertake legal follow-up before all Lebanese authorities and courts, in order to ensure a fair trial.

It is noteworthy that since the third of June this year, Hannibal Gaddafi has continued his open hunger strike, in protest against the Lebanese judiciary’s continued detention of him for 8 years, in a move that would bring his file back to the fore again.

Last week, he was transferred to the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Ashrafieh, after his health deteriorated, and he stayed there for four hours, where he underwent the necessary medical examinations under the supervision of a staff of doctors and nurses, until he announced again that his condition had deteriorated at dawn on Monday.
