Siddaramaiah to drive application for Gruhalakshmi scheme tomorrow : Know how to apply

The process of applying for Gruhalakshmi scheme, which provides Rs 2000 per month to women, will start at 1.30 pm tomorrow. Minister for Women and Child Welfare Lakshmi Hebbalkar said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will initiate the application process at Raj Bhavan tomorrow.

Speaking at the press conference, the minister said that the application for the Grilahakshmi Yojana can be made from Friday itself. BPL, Antyodaya cardholders can apply for free. He said there will be no last date for submission of application.

 

 

On August 18, the plan to deposit money into the account will be launched. He said that if there is any doubt about the application submission, one can call the helpline number 1902. He said that if the husband is paying tax, his wife will not be eligible for this scheme, the application will not be accepted, since the application is being accepted through e-governance, it will be easy to know if they try to take advantage of the scheme without being eligible.

Who is eligible to be the beneficiary?

Only one female per family is allowed to apply. When there is mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, only one of the two has to decide who is the owner of the house and apply. Applicants should be residing in Karnataka. BPL, Antyodaya card holders can apply.

These documents are required to apply

1) Residence Certificate
2) Mobile Number
3) 2 passport size photographs
4) Copy of Bank Passbook
5) Ration card, water bill, electricity bill (for address proof)
6) Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License (for personal verification)
7) Applicant’s bank account details

How to Apply:

Go to the official website of the scheme page, download the Grilahakshmi Yojana application form and take a printout.

Fill all the details asked in the application, attach the above mentioned documents along with the application and submit the application to the Karnataka Gram Panchayat Center or the office of the Assistant Director, Women and Child Development Department of the respective district. Officials will verify the application and documents, after which the eligible beneficiaries will be credited with Rs 2000 every month from the month of August.
