MIRV means that it can attack multiple targets with a single missile. The missile is capable of carrying high-intensity explosive, thermobaric or nuclear warheads. Warheads weighing 1500 to 3000 kg can be mounted on the front of the missile. It is a two stage rocket motor run missile.
The third stage is the MaRV which stands for Maneuverable Reentry Vehicle. This means that the third stage can be controlled remotely to launch a precise attack on the enemy’s target. It was launched from the BEML-Tatra Transporter Erector Launcher. It was produced when China produced the DF-12D and DF-26B missiles. That is why India has made this missile an area denial weapon.
