The government’s unfair stance toward minorities’ religious rights: Hussein Kodibengre
Udupi: In Kodavur Village, the government has regained the site of the Kalmat Jumma Masjid. The government takes an unjust approach to the minority community’s constitutional religious liberties. Hussein Kodibengre President of the Association for the Protection of Civil Rights Said and stated that they will oppose the bill.
He said the Kalmat Jumma Masjid has been in existence for over 150 years on a 67 cents area farm in Kodavur village on Survey No. 53A, speaking at a news conference at the city’s press headquarters on Monday.
In 1993, the Waqf Board registered the Jumma Masjid and its property. The Gazette Notification has been issued after all legal proceedings are completed in 2020 and all required documents have been confirmed. “It’s pointless to reclaim the government’s lawful mosque,” he remarked.
In contravention of all the regulations in the deed of the real estate of the Kalmat Jumma Masjid, the mosque’s right of entry has been illegally entered into its name. The government should immediately reverse its decision to protect the religious freedom of minorities. The Muslim Union of the district demands that the mosque be re-registered and that the community be treated fairly.
Without resorting to any legal procedure, the Minister of Revenue has instructed the government to erase the name of the mosque from a state-of-the-art memorandum and record .without resorting to any legal procedure. The Revenue Minister said there was no signature on the order.
There is no Hindu temple in this place. This effort is being carried out with the intent of deceiving the public. In this scenario, there’s a strong odour of corruption. Sheriffs, teahsilders, and even police officers are believed to be in agreement. He demanded that the case be thoroughly investigated.
