Kukke Subramanya : Pilgrims from other districts rushing to Kukke Subramanya despite seal down!
Pilgrims have been restricted to the Kukke Deva since April 28. The entire region has been sealed off. However, worshipers from the outside districts have been seen approaching. The stringent enforcement of the restrictions has been a headache for the Subramanian Gram Panchayat and the police.
As the state prepares for a total lockdown in many areas, a throng of devotees is flocking to Kukke Subramanya. The police have set up checkpoints on all key highways leading to Kukke Subramanya. It’s also difficult to keep them under control.
Visitors are not permitted to enter the Kukke temple yet the presence of devotees in Kukke Subramanya has been a source of concern for the local panchayat and the police. The police have been fining pilgrims, but it has been discovered that hundreds of vehicles arrive every day.
In light of this, the road linking Kukke Subramanya and Dharmasthala has been closed to pilgrims’ cars. Despite the fact that Subramanya is closed, devotees from all across the state are flocking to the temple, causing residents to become outrage
The coronation at Subrahmanya is still going on, but the increased number of corona positives is causing pilgrims to flock to the area. Devotees from nearby villages have now entered the area, avoiding the gaze of the police.
Rather than stopping devotees in Subramanya’ town, the vehicles passing through Ichlampady, Gundia, and Kadaba should be stopped and inspected. This would also provide information to devotees who are unaware of the seal down. People are saying that this should reduce the pressure on Subramanya Police and Grama Panchayat staff.
