Earlier, six students from Udupi, who had been approached by the high court seeking permission to enter classrooms, were asked by the Department of Education to appear for permission to appear in the Hijab. However, their request was that the Karnataka ruling of the High Court be upheld by the Uniform Rule. These students do not have their own hall ticket for exams.
